Eye of the Storm

The purpose of this spot was to drive viewers to tune in a documentary about the LSU football teams season after Hurricane Katrina. The main challenge was that we didn’t have any footage available at the time of production of this spot. We did have audio clips we could use, but no cleared footage. Designing in black with small, classic titles helped the spot feel important, and using bright colorful lights to accent the design helped the tone feel hopeful and not despairing. Oh, and we created a hurricane vortex by mixing pancake batter into a bowl and shooting it on our video camera.
